Everlasting Light

Good evening, dear booklovers!

Today I have finally overcome my indecision and decided to join the wonderful Wattpad community! I have started with a short story I have been writing and re-writing for the past two years, and although I think it’s not entirely perfect yet, I’m quite satisfied with how it turned out.

Everlasting LightThe story is called “Everlasting Light” and depicts a not so bright future, where everyday life has become so miserable that the sudden appearance of a flaming meteor in the sky becomes a welcome sight.

It probably won’t come as a surprise that I thought of this piece while listening to Muse’s “Apocalypse Please”. That song set the mood and the tone, and it made me think about what kind of situation these people could be in to feel so desperate for the world to end. And, more importantly, how was the world supposed to end?

Eventually, the idea of a flaming meteor coming down from the sky felt so appealing that I couldn’t help but go for it. It is time for something biblical, indeed…

If you want to read it, you can do so by just clicking the image! Please let me know what you think about it in the comments. I hope you enjoy it—even if it’s a bit dark!
