Bookstagram Recap #5

on-now

We have made it! We have survived another week! Which means it’s time for that section we all know and love—Bookstagram Recap! If you’re not following me yet, you can do it by clicking here: @miguel_morell.

This week’s picture are not as book-centred as usual. In fact, for a couple of days, I looked back on my travels and reflected on the beautiful places I have visited. I hope you will like those photos, too!

Let’s begin!

This photo is from a scene from Alice in Wonderland taken from a beautiful pop-up book. This is one of my favourite ones, and really clever—Even within each page, there are many surprises to be found! I can’t even wrap my head around how they make these…

You may remember that last month I visited Granada. This picture is the central nave of the Cathedral of Granada, which, as you can see, is very rich in detail. This photo can’t do it justice, though. There are so many little details, so many beautiful images to be seen here, that the only way to properly appreciate it is visiting it.

And from the very beautiful, we move into the very silly. Remember how I love the humour of that Twitter account, Kim Kierkegaardashian? I decided to take things a step further and put the one book published by Kim Kardashian in the middle of the Søren Kierkegaard section, then tweet about it. Funny thing is, @KimKierkegaard retweeted this, and it has now gone viral!

And we´re back into more serious territory! This is a photo of the first floor of Blackwell’s Broad Street, in Oxford. This is the literature and languages department. Needless to say, it is my favourite section in the whole shop!

Oh God! Is that me showing my face? Indeed it is—from two years ago, when I did a tour of the Scottish Highlands! This is my in front of the Inverness Castle. This city has become one of my all-time favourites: there is a wide river, and in the middle of it, there are little islands connected to each other by bridges. The beautiful thing is, these islands have lush forests big enough to get lost in. I remember them as walking through a fairy tale…

What’s that? Two photos in one day!? That’s right: the first one is your regular #SockSunday picture (because I know how much you love it!), whereas the second one is my entry to become a rep for @fairyloot. I’m really hope they will choose me! Wish me luck!!
